Lamont

The 74th Regiment of (Highland) Foot or 74th Regiment of Foot (Argylshire Highlanders) was a British Army line infantry regiment from 1777 to 1784 which was raised to fight in the American Revolutionary War.

A set of bagpipes, believed to have been played at the mustering of the regiment in 1778 by one Piper MacCorquodale are in the collection of the National Museums of Scotland.[5]

After the war, many of the soldiers settled in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.

For Great Scot Gentswear, bear in mind that the Regency Waistcoat is double-breasted, meaning that it is designed to be worn fully fastened. It has a back belt that can reduce the waist measurement by 1" to 2".

Just place a string or measuring tape around your head, just above your ear.
Now run the tape around the middle of your forehead -completely circling your head.
Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly.
Measure your head (in cm's) exactly where the hat will sit.

If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next size up.
